Newsletter April 2026

Our March meeting was very well attended, so I want to thank all the members who attended. It’s great to see all the members since our last gathering at our annual December party. Our April meeting is on the 16th, starting at 1:00 at St. Francis Episcopal Church in N. Bellmore (as usual). I am anticipating our speaker to be from Nassau County Office of the Aging to provide information about the services available to seniors in Nassau.

The New York Federation is offering a very special incentive for new members who join in April or May. The Federation will pay 1/2 of the annual dues for their first year; meaning that we’ll pay $24 of their $48 dues. How cool is that! so, get out and recruit newbies to take advantage of this terrific offer. Remind prospective members of the tremendous discounts that NARFE offers, the Advocacy role we play to preserve their benefits and the information we provide for health insurance and many other issues affecting retirees and current employees.

You have a very dedicated Executive staff that you’ve elected and we are always available to answer your questions or direct you the right official to resolve your problem. Don’t hesitate to contact us when the situation arises.
