NARFE recently announced in an email to members that the NARFE Alzheimer\u2019s Fund has achieved its goal of donating $15 million to Alzheimer\u2019s research.<\/p>\n

NARFE supports research into the causes, prevention, detection, and effective treatment of Alzheimer\u2019s disease and other forms of dementia.\u00a0 NARFE National President Ken Thomas said, \u201cWe can be proud of what we have accomplished together as we work to find a cure.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0For nearly four decades, NARFE has been one of the Alzheimer\u2019s Association\u2019s top research funders and in September NARFE pledged to raise another $1 million by the end of 2025.<\/div>\n

Chapter 180 has raised thousands of dollars for Alzheimer\u2019s research through bus trips organized by Mary O\u2019Dell, through silent auctions and other activities organized by Sharon Cordero, and through generous donations from its members.<\/div>\n

In 2024, Mary\u2019s bus trips have raised $ 4478.35 and $3230.00\u00a0 in 2023. The Silent 2025 Auction in August raised $581.00 through the sale of auction items and cash donations.\u00a0 Chapter 180 can be proud of its efforts to help NARFE fulfill its ongoing commitment to Alzheimer\u2019s research.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n
