WEP/GPO repealed

Linda Suchocki wrote via FEDHub, “On Sunday, January 5, 2025 President Biden signed the Social Security Fairness Act, H.R.82, repealing the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and Government Pension Offset (GPO). This is great news for any CSRS annuitant who may be entitled to Social Security benefits based on non-federal income or may be entitled to Social Security benefits based on surviving spouse’s entitlement, but never received those benefits.”
