{"id":916,"date":"2026-01-17T11:38:21","date_gmt":"2026-01-17T19:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.narfe.org\/chapter0032\/?p=916"},"modified":"2026-02-14T10:42:14","modified_gmt":"2026-02-14T18:42:14","slug":"narfe-2026-referendum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.narfe.org\/chapter0032\/2026\/01\/17\/narfe-2026-referendum\/","title":{"rendered":"NARFE 2026 Referendum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Executive Board (NEB) passed Motion #17-11-25 in closed session on November 20, 2025 to fund $40,000 for a 2026 \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.narfe.org\/wa\/2026\/01\/09\/narfe-referendum-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Special Referendum<\/strong><\/a> to extend the terms of office for current and future NEB members. This referendum would change the bylaws so that both National officers and the Regional Vice-presidents would all serve three year terms, limited to two consecutive terms.
