{"id":1905,"date":"2025-03-16T22:59:26","date_gmt":"2025-03-17T05:59:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.narfe.org\/ca\/?p=1905"},"modified":"2025-03-16T23:27:19","modified_gmt":"2025-03-17T06:27:19","slug":"narfe-and-federal-unions-rally","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.narfe.org\/ca\/2025\/03\/16\/narfe-and-federal-unions-rally\/","title":{"rendered":"NARFE and Federal Unions Rally in SF"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gmail_default\"><strong>Saturday, March 15, 2025<\/strong> Bay Area <strong>NARFE <\/strong>chapters came together with three federal employee unions (<strong>APWU, NTEU and AFGE)<\/strong> to field 200 \u2013 250 Feds to march around the San Francisco Federal building.\u00a0 The Federal Building is where, two days before, Judge William Alsup ruled that <strong>OPM had acted illegally<\/strong> in terminating tens of thousands of federal employees.\u00a0 Protesting those terminations, and <strong>calling on Congress to do something<\/strong> to stop the shredding of the federal government as we\u2019ve known it most of the past 150 years, NARFE members show <strong>we are united.<\/strong> The Rally and March was covered by at least three local television stations and featured on their Saturday evening news programs and again during their Sunday morning programming.
