SOBB~ SERVICE OFFICERS BULLETIN BOARD
RULES OF CONDUCT FOR USERS
We hope you
find the NARFE Service Officer Bulletin Board both beneficial and enjoyable. It’s
purpose is to give individual NARFE service officers an easy, quick way to communicate
with each other by posting news, ideas,
problems and solutions for the benefit of all.
As with everything there are established rules for using SOBB to ensure everyone’s
enjoyment and avoid undesirable consequences such as legal liabilities. There are
only two rules everyone needs to abide by:
1)
SOBB is intended for all NARFE service officers use to the benefits of each other
and the larger group. It is not to be used to air gripes, grievances or as an opinion
platform. All users must refrain from posting comments that could be considered
critical in nature of the organization as a whole or of any NARFE officer or member;
avoid comments that could be considered defamatory, and do not use profanity or
other inappropriate language.
2)
Protecting personal identifying information is extremely important. For that reason
refrain from posting any individual case information that would reveal the identity
of the individual especially their social security number, address or telephone
number, or retirement claim number. Certainly do not post any financial information
that could be stolen and used to harm the member.
The Retirement
Benefits Services Department at NARFE headquarters will be monitoring the SOBB to
ensure compliance to the rules. Individual violators
will have their access to the blog permanently blocked.
