FEHBP Coverage for Spouse

Message from NARFE President Richard G. Thissen

 Dear NARFE member,

There will be many opportunities for Congress to attack federal employees and retirees this year. We need your help to fight back against these threats.

At risk:

  1. Undermining FEHBP by increasing costs for all employees and retirees;
  2. Reducing annual cost-of-living adjustments through a switch to the Chained CPI;
  3. Increasing retirement contributions for current employees.

NARFE-PAC works to defeat these threats and defend your earned pay and benefits. NARFE needs a strong NARFE-PAC to succeed. We can’t do it without you. Please give to NARFE-PAC online right now.

March is NARFE-PAC Month. Thank you to those who have already contributed to NARFE-PAC via the cover wrap on the March narfe magazine. If you haven’t yet contributed to NARFE-PAC, please consider doing so today. You can contribute right now online.

Thank you for all your support.

Sincerely,

Richard G. Thissen
National President

WHY JOIN NARFE?

 About NARFE

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the earned pay, retirement and health care benefits of federal employees, retirees and their survivors. Founded in 1921, NARFE‘s legacy spans more than 90 years – working tirelessly in support of our members before Office of Personnel Management, members of Congress and the White House.

NARFE Mission Statement:
  •   To support legislation beneficial to current and potential federal annuitants and to oppose legislation contrary to their interests.
  •   To promote the general welfare of current and potential federal annuitants by advising them with respect to their rights under retirement laws and regulations.
  •   To cooperate with other organizations and associations in furtherance of these general objectives.

NARFE’s mission is both critical and timely as Congress and the administration consider unprecedented cuts to federal pay and benefits. Each new member strengthens our message to Congress, fortifies our national outreach, and demonstrates their dedication to maintaining a strong and effective federal workforce.
