NARFE - Chapter 378
WELCOME

Welcome to the website of Free State Chapter 378 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). The Chapter is located in Lawrence, Kansas. It is comprised of NARFE members residing principally in Douglas County, in east central Kansas. The Chapter has about 120 members, and it meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Our usual meeting place is Conroy’s Pub 3115 W 6th St, Lawrence, KS.  The program begins at noon, and is followed by lunch at 12:30 and a business meeting.

The mission of Free State Chapter 378 is to connect with all current and retired employees in the area concerning current issues of interest regarding federal retirement, health and other benefits. We try our best to keep abreast of legislative actions and communicate with our congressional delegation and state legislators. We also focus our efforts on encouraging all current and retired civilian federal workers to become NARFE members and support NARFE's efforts to protect our benefits.

We invite you to browse our website for more information about Chapter 378 and access to NARFE member services.

Benefits of NARFE Membership

The strength of an organization is reflected in its membership. It is important to reach out to active employees and retirees and encourage them to become a part of NARFE and remain members over time. Chapter meetings are a practical way to connect with other retirees and Chapter members. Part of the effort to sustain a viable organization is to educate active and retired employees about the benefits of NARFE and the importance of their membership.  A brief overview of the benefits of NARFE membership is provided in the following presentation.
