Edward J. Konys
Regional Vice President,
Edward J. Konys of Enon, OH, was elected to a two-year term on NARFE’s National Executive Board at the Association’s 33rd Biennial National Convention in Orlando, FL, August 24-28, 2014. He succeeded Paul Johnson. Konys represents NARFE Region IV, which includes Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin.
Konys spent his 35-year federal career with the U.S. Air Force Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, where he worked in key management positions that included Division Chief for Plans, Deputy Division Chief of Programs and Deputy Division Chief of Manpower and Organization.
Konys joined NARFE in 2003. He served as president of the Ohio Federation from 2010 to 2012, the Ohio Federation vice president for legislation from 2006 to 2010 and has been the second vice president of Chapter 610 since October 2004.
The Cleveland native holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from John Carroll University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton. Konys is a former Legislative Fellow at the Office of Personnel Management in Washington, DC, and was the recipient of the Senior Officials in National Security Management fellowship from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
