Disaster Relief Available

October 14, 2016

In the wake of the damage caused by Hurricane Matthew and subsequent devastating floods in several states, NARFE reminds members: Help is available to NARFE members who have suffered injury or incurred property damage during or after a declared natural disaster. Here’s what’s available:

• Cash grants from the NARFE-FEEA Disaster Fund: After a declared natural disaster, NARFE members may request a NARFE Disaster Assistance Grant. (The grant maximum is $500.) Documentation will be required to show loss or destruction of property or how the applicant was injured as a result of a natural disaster. Grant checks are payable directly to the applicant or to a specific creditor.
