Welcome NARFE Members!

NARFE is now offering web hosting for chapters and federations.  Per numerous requests from chapters and federations we have developed a secure and easy to use customized web site.  All NARFE chapters and federations now have the option of having their individual websites hosted and maintained, in a secure environment worry free of any data loss with minimal maintenance and administration.

We have established a uniform design that is suitable for NARFE and its members. These customized templates allow users to change text size as well as the look of the site with a click of a button, in addition to a photo album for uploading photos.  These templates resemble the look and feel of the main NARFE website, which makes it easier to browse and gives the user the feel of browsing one site at all times.  We are offering web hosting to standardize the look and feel of our state and chapter websites and eliminate the ads that come accompanied with some free or inexpensive sites used by chapters.

It often costs as much as $20.00 a month for your web services to be hosted elsewhere.  By allowing headquarters to host your site, you will pay a flat fee of $29.95 annually, less than $2.50 a month, with no domain registration fees, and no website maintenance fees.

For a sample of what your website may look like, go to:  http://www.narfe.org/chapter5555/

Thank you for choosing web hosting services.  This site will provide you with ample information on how to create and maintain your site while using our services.  We will walk you through step by step process of the entire process.

Policies and Procedures for creating and maintaining a site

In order to create an account for your chapter or state web management, you must be the president of that chapter or state.  Once you have chosen a username and password for your account, the username and password can be passed on to the individual designated to manage your website. The individual you choose to administer your web management does not have to be a web developer or a web expert; however he/she will be responsible for all material posted on your site.  Chapter and state presidents must give final approval for any information posted on their site.  Ads are strictly prohibited. Any sites found running ads will be disabled.

When registering your site, you must provide us with your information along with information for the person responsible for administering your billings.  Fees for your account will be billed annually in the same month in which you originally registered your site.  In case of non-receipt of payment, your website will be temporarily disabled until payment is received from your chapter or state.  Please inform us of any changes regarding your chapter or state billing person at Webhosting@narfe.org or feel free to call 703-838 7760 ext. 373.
