INFED'S LEGISLATIVE EFFORT FOR 2009-2010 Sept 29, 2009

The following information in "READ MORE' is provided by the Legislative committee and is being distributed so we can start educating our INFED membership and our local state legislators. 

Total exemption of your Civil Service pension will be our ONLY legislative focus for the 2009-2010 Indiana State Legislature.  This information is a compliation of the legislation and support material for that legislation.  Please share this information with all FEDERAL employees - retired or still working- since we need all the support statewide that we can get.

Wow, what a ride!  A few short years ago I joined my local Chapter (327) and someone ask,  "Do you want to be an officer?" By the way that was at my first Chapter meeting.  I said, "OK, but let me get my feet wet first."  I did, but a year later they nominated and  elected me as the Chapter Vice President.  They did not let me soak my toes very long for the next year they elected me their Chapter President.  Who would have ever thought that a few years later someone would ask me to serve as a Federation VP (Thanks, Joe).  Now look at me, 2 years later, I've been elected as the President of the Indiana Federation of Chapters of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.  Wow!!!  What an honor
