GRASS ROOTS ADVOCACY MONTH

In light of the Health Care Reform discussion, it is truly important that the Grass Roots Advocacy effort be a success in Indiana.  Though Health Care is just one of our issues, it needs to be included with discussions about Premium Conversion and GPO/WEP.  I've heard from a number of Chapters who are planning to meet with Congressional represenatives or their aides.  Keep up the good work.  For information concerning Dues Refeendum, FEEA/NARFE Scholarships, Premium Conversion and the 2010 State Convention  go to 'READ MORE" 

INFED'S LEGISLATIVE EFFORT FOR 2009-2010 Sept 29, 2009

The following information in "READ MORE' is provided by the Legislative committee and is being distributed so we can start educating our INFED membership and our local state legislators. 

Total exemption of your Civil Service pension will be our ONLY legislative focus for the 2009-2010 Indiana State Legislature.  This information is a compliation of the legislation and support material for that legislation.  Please share this information with all FEDERAL employees - retired or still working- since we need all the support statewide that we can get. 

NARFE - Indiana Federation of Chapters - 56th Annual Convention - February 16, 2010

The Indiana Federation of Chapters NARFE will hold its 56th Annual Convention on April 13-14, 2010 at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City Indiana.  The Blue Chip Casino is located at 2 Easy Street, Michigan City, Indiana.  Reservations can be made by calling 888-624-9617.  Room rate is $88.48 per night.  Please make reservations by MARCH 22.

The Registration Fee is $10.00, payable by all convention attendees. The Banquet cost is $30.00.  Chapter Presidents have the registration materials.
