If not  Contact the GSA National Payroll Branch Customer Service Help desk via phone at either 816-823-3900 or 1-800-676-3690, Press 1 and ext. 33900, or Press 2. September 29, 2014 Update:

GSA and the Department of Treasury are continuing to work with financial institutions across the country to get them to accept payments that were sent with improper coding on Friday before they are rejected. Correcting this issue is our highest priority and we will continue to keep you updated with new information as it becomes available from GSA.

WHAT CAN YOU DO IF YOU HAVEN’T RECEIVED PAYMENT?

Monitor your balances today

  • As banks and credit unions come back to work from the weekend, GSA expects them to be addressing issues like these and you may see funds posted earlier this morning.

Contact your financial institution

  • If you still haven’t seen the funds in your accounts, contact your financial institution and ask to talk to their Automated Clearing House (ACH) office – the department that works on fund transfers. Be sure to have your bank account number handy during the call as it will help them process your request faster.

Do you bank with a smaller institution?

  • GSA and Treasury have a list of over 200 financial institutions to whom payments were sent on Friday. GSA is calling the institutions in the order of how many payments they received. If you work with one of the smaller financial institutions or don’t work with a major center it will help if you proactively reach out to your financial institution and notify them of the error.

Still not paid? Contact the help desk immediately.

  • To help GSA ensure they can solve your payroll issue, they need to know about it. If you haven’t received funds, or if your financial institution has told you that they are rejecting the payments please contact the GSA National Payroll Branch Customer Service Help desk. You can reach them via phone at either 816-823-3900 or 1-800-676-3690, Press 1 and ext. 33900, or Press 2. You may also contact them on email at kc-payroll.finance@gsa.gov.

GSA apologizes again for this error and the inconvenience it caused. They have discovered the root cause of the error and have taken steps to ensure it never happens again.
